These terms apply to the Huisbrein app and website of Gone With Us Studio (KvK 42074981, VAT NL005474636B81). Questions: contact@gonewithus.nl. The Dutch version is authoritative; this is a translation.
What Huisbrein is. Huisbrein gives information and advice about your house: what a problem probably is, how urgent it is, what you can safely do yourself, roughly what it costs, which rules and subsidies apply and whom to call. Part of that advice comes from an AI model; it says so when it does.
What Huisbrein is not. Huisbrein is not a building survey, not an inspection and not a replacement for a professional. An assessment from photos can miss hidden defects and can be wrong. Use the advice as a starting point and have a professional look when in doubt, when the amounts are large, and always for gas, electrics in the meter cupboard, structure (cracks in load-bearing walls), asbestos and work at height. For those, Huisbrein never gives do-it-yourself steps.
In danger. If you smell gas or a carbon monoxide alarm goes off: go outside at once, do not use switches, and once outside call the gas emergency number 0800-9009, or 112 if anyone is unwell. Do not wait for the app.
Amounts, subsidies and rules. Prices in Huisbrein are estimates from our own price table; a professional's quote is what counts. Subsidy amounts, deadlines and rules come from the official sources (such as rvo.nl and your municipality) with the date we checked them. The official source prevails. Whether you receive a subsidy is up to the provider.
Professionals. If you send a job to a professional through Skillhood, the job is between you and that professional. Skillhood (also by Gone With Us Studio) has its own terms for that.
Your account. You are at least 18, give correct details and keep your password secret. You can delete your account at any time. We may block an account in case of abuse.
Liability. We do our best to make Huisbrein accurate and safe, but cannot guarantee that every piece of advice is right. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for damage caused by following advice without consulting a professional where Huisbrein recommends doing so. Your statutory rights as a consumer always apply.
Changes and law. Every change gets a new version; if a change affects you, the app shows it in advance. Dutch law applies to these terms.
