What is Huisbrein?
An app for iPhone and Android that helps with everything about your house: recognising problems from a photo, your energy use and insulation, a plan for making your home more sustainable, subsidies with their deadlines, what your municipality offers, quotes and booking a professional.
When can I use the app?
Huisbrein is in development. The first test version comes through TestFlight for a small group in the Eindhoven region. This page will say when you can download the app.
Does Huisbrein replace a professional or a building survey?
No. Huisbrein gives a first assessment and says how sure it is. A photo can miss hidden defects. When in doubt, when the amounts are large, and always for gas, the meter cupboard, load-bearing walls, asbestos and work at height, Huisbrein recommends a professional and gives no do-it-yourself steps.
Where do the amounts and subsidies come from?
Prices come from a price table we keep ourselves and check with professionals. Subsidy amounts, deadlines and rules come from the official source, such as rvo.nl, the Nationaal Warmtefonds and your municipality. Every amount shows its source and the date we checked it. The AI does not make up amounts.
Which municipalities are covered?
Eindhoven and the municipalities around it first. National information, such as the ISDE subsidy and the end of net metering, applies everywhere in the Netherlands.
What does Huisbrein cost?
We will announce that before the app is available. Booking a professional through Skillhood costs you nothing extra.
What happens to my data?
Your data is stored at Cloudflare in the EU. We sell nothing, show no ads and do not track you. It is all in the privacy statement. You can delete your account at any time.
Is Huisbrein in English?
Yes. The app and this website are in Dutch and English, including for internationals who do not know Dutch rules and appliances yet.
