What Huisbrein does

One app for everything to do with your house

Photograph a problem

A damp patch, a crack, a dripping tap, an error code on the boiler. See what it probably is, how urgent it is and whether you can fix it yourself.

Your house, mapped

Enter your postcode and house number, and Huisbrein fills in the year built and the energy label. Your appliances, documents and work done are in one place.

Energy and insulation

Compare your usage with similar houses, and get a plan in the right order: draughts, roof, walls, floor, glazing, heat pump, solar panels.

Subsidies with deadlines

Which schemes fit your house, what they pay, when to apply and which papers you need. Always with the source.

Your municipality

The heat plan for your neighbourhood, the local energy desk, local subsidies and whether you need a permit. The Eindhoven region first.

Quotes and professionals

Request quotes with photos and measurements attached, compare them side by side and see what is missing. Book a professional in Eindhoven through Skillhood.

What is changing

Three dates that matter for many houses

Dutch energy rules change quickly. Huisbrein shows what applies to your house, with the date and the source, and reminds you in time.

Advice that knows where it stops

  1. Sure or unsure

Huisbrein says how sure it is, in words. If a photo is not clear, it asks for a better one instead of guessing.

  2. No DIY where it is dangerous

For gas, the meter cupboard, load-bearing walls, asbestos and work at height you never get do-it-yourself steps, only whom to call.

  3. Amounts from real sources

Prices come from our own price table and subsidy amounts from the official source, always with the date. Never made up by AI.

Smell gas?

Go outside at once, do not use switches, and once outside call 0800-9009. If anyone is unwell: 112.
